To import a car from Japan may sound too hard to perform, but in reality it is not. And there are thousands of people who do just that, some of them on a regular basis! In case you are curious about benefits of importing a car from Japan, here are a few of them:

While in your country there are a limited number of models available, Japanese car auctions and private dealers present a huge range of cars, including classic and newest models. You might have not even seen many of them at all! So, you get an opportunity to import a car from Japan, which is rare, exclusive or unique.

Definitely, the main reason why people import cars from Japan is an unbelievably low price. Yes, it is much cheaper than if you bought the same car locally. Of course, the price of the car itself is not the final price you pay - the process of importing a car from Japan involves a lot of additional expenses. But in most cases, even if the final amount is more than a double of the car’s price, the purchase is still a good value for your money.

Atv Ramps: How To Choose And Use

Off-roading is one of the most exhilarating extreme sports. Just ask anyone who’s crossed the backcountry on an ATV. It’s a thrilling sport, but there’s certainly no thrill to struggling with an ATV if you don’t have a good set of ramps.

Some people are absolutely lost when it comes to choosing and using ATV ramps. There’s really no trick to using ramps, but it does take a little practice to get the procedure just right.

Here are some guidelines to prepare you and help you through the ATV ramping process. If you can follow these steps carefully, you should enjoy a fairly uneventful experience.

Choosing Your ATV Ramps

Common sense is really the most common rule of thumb. Choose a ramp that is wider than your ATV. Take careful measurements BEFORE placing your order. Having said that, when buying wide-runner ramps, use the width of your ATV’s wheelbase as the reference of the ramp’s width. If you prefer a single-runner ramp, on the other hand, the width distance should be at least as wide as your tire.

Standard ATV ramp sizes are used on smaller pickup vehicles. Longer ramps are intended for larger trucks. Before paying for the ramp, be sure to check the capacity of the ramp and the load of your ATV. If you think that your ATV is heavier than the load capacity of the ATV ramp, consider the pairing of two ramps to enhance the overall load capability.

Safe Use of ATV Ramps

Step One: Park your truck on a flat and firm surface, and use the parking brake. Clear all materials out of the truck or trailer bed and secure the vehicle and the trailer before beginning the ramping procedure.

Step Two: With the ramp secured on hard-packed ground, position it to the truck or trailer bed at the lowest angle possible. Connect the ramp to the truck or trailer bed. If you are using runners, make sure that the individual ramps are properly spaced to match your ATV’s wheelbase. Be sure that the ramp is secure and fits snug.

Third Step: With safety cables, support the ramp firmly against the trailer bed.

Step Four: Double-check the current weight of your ATV, and the load capacity of the ramp. Remove any additional heavy gear from your ATV to prevent overloading and possible damage to your ramp and ATV.

Fifth Step: Use a winch if you have one. There is no better way to bring your ATV safely up the ramp and on to the trailer or truck bed. Riding your ATV up the ramp is an option if you don’t have a winch, but you must ride slowly and cautiously with smooth acceleration.

This is the point when the worst accidents can happen, so don’t rush it. If you go too quickly or accelerate abruptly, you can fall off of the ramp or crash into the truck’s cab. Again, a winch is the safest means of ramping your ATV, particularly if you have no previous ramping experience.

Step Six: Secure the ATV. Once your ATV has been loaded, secure it carefully to the truck bed or trailer.

Once you get the hang of it, using ATV ramps is really quite simple. Still, you’ll need practice to get it done right. It’s always best to have another person with you, just in case. Follow each of these steps and have a friend standing by in case of accident.

Buying A Car Or Leasing - Which Is The Better Choice?

There is nothing quite like the feeling of buying a brand new car. Most people have a few clunkers, and maybe a lemon or two as their first few cars, while they save up for a decent down payment for their dream car. Nowadays however, with every major car company allowing people to lease a vehicle rather than buying it, saving up for a down payment is not as necessary as it used to be.

Leasing dropped into the car scene a few years ago and has been viewed as a life saver to many would be car owners. When you think about it, what person wouldn’t choose to pay $175 or $250 a month for a car instead of $350 or $500? Leasing prices are much lower than monthly payments, no matter how big your down payment is! Some companies offer leasing packages that almost sound too good to be true. However, they usually are too good to be true!

If you are looking to buy a new car but you are dragging your feet about paying a high monthly payment, the leasing option is probably starting to look really good to you. If you do your research however, you will ultimately find that buying your car is almost always the smartest thing to do. I would say that the only exception to this is if you have moved somewhere for a short period of time for your job, or for schooling and you need a car. In these cases, leasing would be a smart thing to do, as long as you are not planning any long road trips.

When you enter into a leasing agreement, you are basically borrowing a car from a company, with the understanding that if anything should happen to the car, you are 100% liable, and you will have to pay any damages. When you buy a car, the same applies, but when you own your car, you don’t have to give it back after putting your money into it!

When you lease your car, the lease agreement is usually for four to five years, after which you will have the option to give it back (once the car company has made absolutely sure it is coming back with no scratches or dents!) or to pay the remaining thousands cash down so you can own the car. The monthly payment for leasing is lower, but it is still cheaper and better in the long run to buy the car and pay more per month.

If you own your car, you make the rules, you decide if a dent or scratch really does need fixing and if it does, you can decide where you want to get it fixed. You can also drive as far as you like in a year, and not worry about paying for your mileage. Leasing agreements usually give you 20,000 kilometers or miles per year an you will pay a lot extra to be able to drive more in a year.

Unlike what most people may think, a used hybrid car will cost more than a used ordinary car sold at dealerships. Since the oldest of hybrid cars is only about 6 years old, the price of a used hybrid car will probably be as low as $10,000. The reason for this is that a hybrid car’s technology does not degrade as fast as a usual car.

Hybrid cars run don’t use up much fuel so it’s also possible that its parts are still in top condition. It is this technology that keeps prices as high as they are even for used hybrid cars.

When you get a used hybrid car, it will definitely cost you much cheaper than the brand new but still provides you with the same technology. Brand new hybrids can average about $20,000 so that spells out huge savings for you if you want to try out a hybrid car. However, some of things you will be missing out on by purchasing a used hybrid include tax breaks and a few warranties on parts and services.
